About the Author
About the author CHARLES P. HOLLOCKER has a background that spans software development, software process design, research on improving software R&D, and systems quality. He has held executive level product and process quality responsibilities, including his recent appointment as head of the Quality Assessment Department at DSC Communications Corporation in Plano, Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science and a master’s in engineering management, both from Northwestern University. He is a senior member of both the IEEE and the ASQC, and is a certified quality analyst. Very active professionally, Mr. Hollocker holds positions on various publication review boards for the IEEE, ASQC, and the Quality Assurance Institute. He has participated in numerous national standards efforts and has chaired the IEEE effort that produced the Standard for Software Reviews and Audits, ANSI/IEEE Std 1028–1988.
