I recommend this book for its full coverage on all the aspects of construction management, approaching the real field problems, solutions, tips and the very well explained example that is built chapter by chapter.
Theory and practice merge in a very palatable way. Any one who read it carefully, may become a consultant on Construction Management.

A good read- practical, in sufficient depth, easy style- a good introduction to construction management

Key topics are well covered using a complete small project example-, includes work breakdown structure, earned value system, critical path scheduling, Clear writing style coupled with subject matter expertise is a winning combination for introducing construction projects management. Enough detail is provided to clarify the major elements.
